Welcome to Milan
Tagged as the Fashion capital of the world, Milan is a truly inspiring place to visit if you’re taking in the sights of Italy on any holiday through Europe. While it may not be my favorite Italian city that we’ve seen so far, (Rome was unbelievable), it definitely comes a close second. (I haven’t go around to blogging about all of them so far, so I do apologise, but the short stops in some places haven’t quite warranted a full review of the city.)
If you’re looking for a photo opportunity and something amazing to see then I’d recommend Cimitero Monumentale. This emotionally stirring monument to the WW2 lost men of Milan is so very impressive and I can’t sing highly enough of it.
However, outstripping everything else on view in Milan, the Duomo di Milano is one of the most spectacular pieces of architecture that I’ve ever witnessed. Otherwise known as the Milan Cathedral, the inserted picture in this post will only begin to show you what an amazing, spectacular place it is.
During our time here we stayed in a glorious hotel that I’d definitely recommend. If you’re heading to Milan at any time in the future then definitely check this place out – even if it’s just for breakfast!
On the subject of breakfast, if I had to say one of my favorite places to eat throughout the city then I’d have to go for this great place. Cracco not only had some of the best food, but the atmosphere and welcoming nature of the staff was really quite brilliant. (A little expensive however, so perhaps one to avoid if you’re doing Milan on a budget!)
